LUIS FERNÁNDEZ HEBRERO

Luis Fernández Hebrero was born in 1958, in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid. He still lives and works in his home town. Hebrero spends the summers in a small mountain village, Campillo de Ranas, where he paints surrounded by the nature.

Since Hebrero was a child he felt attracted to Art and Nature. He started to study Biology at the prestigious University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid, but during his travels to Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Florence, Milano and Venice, he decided to devote all his time to Art. Hebrero studied Art at the prestigious Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, and later on he did with the Painter Juan Valenzuela y Chacón.

Hebrero admires the painters Rembrandt, Tiziano and Velázquez, as well as Twentieth Century painters such as Cezanne and Picasso. He also studied intensely the works of Nineteenth Century Spanish painters such as Fortuny, Nonel, Mir, Pinazo, Aureliano de Beruete, Anglada Camarasa and Sorolla.
