MARC JESÚS VIVES

Marc Jesús Vives was born in 1966, in Eivissa (Ibiza), Balearic Islands, Spain, son of the painter Ramón Jesús. From 1969 to 1984, Marc lived in Barcelona, till he moved back again to the Balearics, but this time to Ciutadella, in Minorca, where he currently lives and works. Between 1985 and 1988, Marc studied Jewelry and Design in Ciutadella and at the prestigious Institut de Bisuteria de Maó. From 1989 to 1992 Marc studied jewelry with the famous Master Platko, in Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca. From 1992 Marc devotes all his time to paint and to the making of sculptures. In 2003, Marc Jesús was commissioned by the Barcelona Subway to create a huge mural in the Diagonal Station to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of famous Catalan Architect Antoni Gaudí.
