ENRIC RUBIÓ

Enric Rubió was born in Girona, Spain. His beautiful paintings focus on his native Catalonian countryside. His work often depicts ancient villages and farms. Classically trained as a realist in Italy at the Academie Statale di Belle Arti di Frosinene, Rubió also holds a MFA in the Academy of Art of Olot in Spain. In addition, he is the Director of the School of Art of Anglés, in Girona, Spain. He lives and works in Catalonia.

Rubió is one of the founding members of the 'Amigos del Realismo', an influential group of modern Spanish realists. He is also a member of the 'Association Cimaises Ephemeres' (France), 'Group Artistes Catalans' (Spain), 'Association International Plástica' (France) and the 'Descartes Association' (France). Rubió's work has been awarded numerous prizes in international competitions and is held in private collections and museums in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Singapore, Tunisia and the United States.
